About Sleepy Paws Pet Care

Welcome to Sleepy Paws Pet Care! My name is Kim Westwood, and I am thrilled to share the story of how this wonderful company came to be.

After spending several years in a demanding retail management position, I realized that my heart longed to be at home with my son, Josh. Determined to find a way to balance work and family, my husband Dave and I embarked on an incredible journey in 2009 when we founded Sleepy Paws Pet Care.

Based in Chester County, PA, Sleepy Paws has evolved into one of the most reputable pet sitting companies in the area, serving the communities of Downingtown, Exton, and their surroundings. We take pride in providing exceptional care for hundreds of four-legged friends, ensuring their well-being and happiness while their human companions are away.

Our commitment to excellence has been recognized through our participation in the PHL17 Hot List contest for the Philadelphia area’s top pet sitting companies. On multiple occasions, Sleepy Paws proudly reached the finals, a testament to the trust and satisfaction we’ve earned from our clients. We also recently were voted a 2023 Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave! At Sleepy Paws Pet Care, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting causes close to our hearts. Over the years, we have actively contributed to organizations such as the Chester County SPCA, Chester County Bark for Life (Relay For Life), Windsor Christian Academy, Arctic Spirit Rescue and East Brandywine Youth Athletics. We are passionate about making a positive impact on both animals and people in need.

In addition to our commitment to pets and the community, our family plays an integral role in Sleepy Paws Pet Care. Alongside our son Josh, we reside in West Brandywine Township, where we are surrounded by the unconditional love of our delightful dogs—Max, Abigail, Zara and Monkey—as well as cherished cats Pickle and Nippy.
